We're veterans of our nation's armed forces. Army. Air Force. Navy. Marines.
As veterans, we've experienced many of the same things others have, both in and out of the service.
We know what you've gone through
"Vets Helping Vets" began in 1998. Since then, we've worked with hundreds of veterans from all branches of the military from World War II to the current Iraq / Afghanistan War.
Our mission is to help veterans receive the benefits they're entitled to.
How "Vets Helping Vets" can help you
We'll look at your military background, your health and any health related problems related to your military service. Based on your experience, we'll try to help you get any disability benefits you might be entitled to by helping you fill out the correct forms.
All our work is done "one-on-one."
Everything we do is kept confidential.
We carry a supply of books and materials on various veteran-related issues, including PTSD.
While we do not offer legal, counseling, or any other professional service, many vets report back that they got help from the VA because of our work with them.
There's never a cost for our service. Our "pay" comes from hearing that a vet received the assistance he needed.
"Vets Helping Vets" meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 1800 hours (6:00 p.m.). For more information call 303-289-2100.
At Mountain View Lutheran Church, we believe no vet should be left behind.
